Ryquel aka Ry, a 21 year old singer-songwriter was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. Singing has always been her passion but stage fright stopped her from pursuing her dream faster. After changing her name a few times she finally decided on Ry because it was simple and she didn’t want to be known as anything other than herself. She released her first single Poison in April of 2023, and has been striving to become an influential artist to show others they can follow their dreams ever since.

I love shopping, cooking new meals, and pampering myself up

What first got you into music?

I first got into music because I seen my sister wanted me to sing on her song and I enjoyed the process so I decided to take it serious

What’s next for me is getting myself out there, and dropping an EP soon.

Tell us about your latest project/single (release date, title, tours, etc)

I released my first single called Poison on April 3rd, 2023. I wrote it in my car at 5 in the morning. I called it poison because the love that I felt at the time didn’t feel like love it felt like poison. It wasn’t what I wanted long term but I wasn’t ready to walk away just yet.
