Meet Jon Martian :
Jon Martian is an upcoming hip hop artist from Springfield, Massachusetts that has been on the horizon. He's been writing since 6th grade and has been in a studio setting since 2016, Combine cleverness, lyrical ability, intricacy, smooth flows, and sometimes speed to paint a full picture. Martian grew up on 16 acres on the outskirts of Springfield, Massachusetts, which is outside of Boston. Jon's hobbies include writing, gaming, and drawing, while writing is his number one priority at this time in his career. When he is not making music, then he is usually gaming.
Getting to know Jon Martian
What first got you into music?
"When I was 11 years old my mom's boyfriend always rapped in the house. He used to beg me to give it a shot. He even started bribing me to do it with candy and money. It started to stick. I actually stopped writing rap for a few years in high school and only did poetry. Which I feel elevated my pen for sure.
So far in Jon Martian's career, he has released 13 albums and over a plethora of singles. His focus has shifted more to shows, not only as a performer but, as a host for events which he
has done more recently this year. For artists needing of studio time, Jon offers engineering at his studio located in his hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts.
What was your most recent release and what is the story behind?
"I dropped my latest project in the beginning of August titled Space - Age which stands for the classic and retro feel of the music. It's the closest that I have let my listeners into my mind."
Who is your dream collab?
"My dream collab would definetly be either Caskey or Tech N9ne. It would have hands down been Mac Miller but unfortunately we lost him a few years back."
What are your most newsworthy mentions?
"It's hard to say. I've won contests. I've hosted shows and packed venues. I've released so much content. I like to think where I've made it to in such a short time is worth mentioning. I still have a lot I want to accomplish. I'm hoping to make major moves in the upcoming years."
Jon Martian wants to be remembered as someone who would do anything for his team in SaySome Studios. With his lyrical ability as an artist, Martian wants to be revered as a "once in a generation lyricist."
