Doe Boy Jones is an upcoming artist who has been working hard for years, and it's starting to pay off.
But don't take our word for it! Get to know Doe Boy Jones and let us know what you think!
At the age of 10 years old Ron Jones knows better known as Doe Boy Jones began writing poetry, which led him two years later to writing music, writing, writing music eventually led me to learn how to produce music for other underground artists, make his own beats, & mix and master music. He began his own small group out of the little town of Fairmont, West Virginia. The group was called The 304 Squad, the group consisted of five young male rappers and one female rapper and one lead vocalist. His Mother Michelle Coppola managed the group, she led them to New York City in 2006 to audition for 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday. They would have made it but unfortunately didn’t due to the fact that the female vocalist turned her back to the judges while performing with the rappers in the group, however they did finish with winning the home video viewers contest for the best video. His family had moved to Roanoke, VA in 2008, from there where his career moved up a level with a group of older guys and girls called “Blackout Entertainment”. Blackout was also a part of a college graduation in Blacksburg, VA. This group consisted of 30 rappers starting out and slowly dwindling down to 10 of them His Mother, Michelle Coppola again stepped in to manage the group. They had began doing shows around the tri state of Virginia, but mostly in their hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Doe Boy Jones remained in the group until it dwindled down to just 5 of them and then eventually the group faded out. The aspiring artist has also opened up for artists such as Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, OJ Da Juice Man, YC, Slim Dunkin, K-Styli’s, Frenchie, & more. The 3rd group DoeBoy Jones was a member of was a group by the name of S.R.E (Street Runners Entertainment) which traveled to South Carolina to open up for a big event at a club located in Columbia. GMG Gang is the 4th group “DoeBoy Jones” was a part of, at the time he was known as “Lil’ Doe”, they have traveled places such as Charlotte, North Carolina, Farmville, Virginia to open up for “Gillie Da Kid”, in Manassas, Virginia. In August 2018, DoeBoy Jones performed at A & R Rush and was promised an 8hr studio session with Epic Records, a Sony distribution deal, & FM radio play. In 2018 “DoeBoy Jones” opened up for “Derez Deshon” in Lynchburg, VA at a club called “Phase 2” where he was able to meet & greet and meet the artist face to face with his manager at the time “Alexis Mandakis” and greet him with an “Artist Packet” and soak up a humbling first time experience. In 2019 “DoeBoy Jones” opened up for the "EU Band" the infamous D.C. Band who also appeared on the 2019 B.E.T Awards and he had the humbling pleasure and opportunity to meet and greet them backstage and soak up some important game. His project “Reality Crack Pt. 2” is a re-release of 2019 he dropped back in 2020 that is now currently on it’s way to 300,000 streams and counting on “Spotify” and he has catchy hard hitting singles such as “Opinions & Words” along with “Doe Lenin” that’s almost at 100,000 streams on “Spotify”. Be on the lookout for this talented artist to keep his hard work ethic and unique visuals coming for us all!!..
Where are you from?
Roanoke, VA (Star City, 540. RawNoke)
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?
I love watching interesting movies, watching sports, playing video games, going to the gym, eating out, or really taking a lot of time out of my day just to do more fascinating and interesting research on things to do with music so it’s safe to say not really lol music is my everything.
He goes on to say The feeling of being able to capture my true emotion, feelings, & experiences through my life and feeling and seeing a reaction to a full crowd actually cheering me on or getting a clapping and standing ovation. I really feel that’s what did it at that point making, creating, and capturing a great performance time after time became my drug.
So what’s next for you?
Becoming an established artist rather than being independently or with the right situation but the money has to be right because I know my worth, know what I can offer with my talent, and know what I could make from my talents potential. Once that’s established and I get my foot in the game with hit and billboards classic records I would plan on blueprinting and starting my own independent label from the ground up and would work on becoming more of the business man/mogul who is not only an entrepreneur but a great music mentor and producer to the game.
Is there any additional information/key notes?
None
Can you tell us about your latest project/single (release date, title, tours, etc.)
My latest project that was released was “Reality Crack Pt. 2” it’s currently over 200,000 streams on Spotify and is doing great on Apple Music as well. 2 singles off the project “Doe Lenin” & “Opinions & Words” are both on their way to hitting 100,000 streams alone. It was originally released in 2018 and was re- released in 2020. As far as tours there are no tour dates currently set up for me but I have been getting back to doing tons of shows here lately.
If you could give us 2 quotes from yourself what would they be?
Other’s opinions will not have control over your story involved with success.
Determination with silence and action leads to solid interactions.
Who would your dream collab be ?
I have a few dream collabs so I would have to answer with multiples to name a few artists such as Lil’ Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Sauce Walka, & a lot more.
What would be your possible ideas for the article headline?
“Came To Re-Introduce Myself”
“Mr. Ice My Shit Down”
Most newsworthy mentions?
Opening up for 1500 fans and Derez Deshon and meeting him in person. His latest projects streaming number accolades from an indie artist out of a small city like Roanoke, VA that means a lot to me coming from a place the world doesn’t really know that well just yet.
