So Marlo where are you from?
I was born in March of 1992 my real name is Michael Robertson but most know me as Marlo Badass I'm originally from Mississippi but moved to Virginia when I was eight.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?
I like to draw, I’m also interested in creative writing and poetry, and drumming is my main talent in music.
How did you get into music?
felt like I was born into it music runs in my family, especially my mom she’s musically talented she plays the piano she used to take me and my sisters with her to church when we were young I taught me how to play the drums at two by beating on the backseat of her car she got tired of that and bought my own drum set I was drumming at churches too.
I was listening to almost every genre growing up, especially blues and jazz being from the south I got into rap and rapping around seven when I found out my dad used to be in a rap group when he was young and I used to find his rap book or any of his music, around same at that time I was listening to bone thugs & harmony how they rap, flow and use melodies they were on another level.
I kept my talent going even when I moved to Virginia I met my best friend four years after I moved and made our studio he taught me how to engineer and mix & master, I still am putting my drumming skills more into use learning how to create beats and meeting with producers.
Tell us about your latest project/single (release date, title, tours, etc)
I have my debut/collab project with Crash The Bandit dropping on 1/31/23 called Hood Rat Shit With My Friends, five songs from the tape three-six, TV, Movies, Bankroll & Money Over Hoes are already out with both lyric and music videos. I drop one of my 1st solo single bag routes last year with a lyric video. currently.
So what’s next for you?
I’m working on my merch and having a website up soon I have a few other projects that I plan on putting out this year.

Never be afraid to take that risk for whatever your dreams may be. It might not make sense to the ones you know but in the end, it’s going to make sense to you if you keep going.

Who is your dream collab if any?
My dream collab currently would have to be Mannie Fresh Not only is he my birthday twin but mannie fresh is one of my favorite producers of all time.

No matter what song I release I do my best to also have a lyric or music video some type of visual.
