Don’t Sleep! Virginia has talent and his name is Kvntry .

Everyday Clout stopped in the Star-city (Roanoke Virginia) once again. We caught up with up and coming artist Kvntry tap in as we chop it up.

Where are you from?

Born in Roanoke , Virginia

Lived in a trailer park in Bedford County, Virginia most of my life growing up. Didn’t really have a lot but we had what we needed. And if it was in reason my parents did what they could to give us what me and my brother wanted. Did good in school but didn’t really take it seriously as I should. Was more interested in smoking weed hanging out with females and fast money. Got into a lot of trouble to the point that everyone thought I was going to either end up dead or in jail by the time I was 21. Realizing I didn’t want to be a statistic I made a pivot. Started messing with music but didn't really start taking it seriously until I made a demo tape that one of my friends got a hold to and gave it to a new guy that had just moved into the city that he had befriended. He called me up we ended up linking and just started making a lot of music together. Then he linked me up with the rest of his boys in his group called Dacav5 from South Jersey. From there just started establishing relationships in the industry together and we all have been rocking ever since.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

I lift weights kind of a gym rat , really interested in cooking and the presentation of it. I love the WWE , it’s a bond that me and my father have always shared together. Can’t really explain it , I just love it.

What first got you into music?

I used to watch a couple of my friends freestyle all the time while we were driving. Tried it the first time and I was horrible lol. But I stuck with it and from there I started writing Lyrics and Battle Raps. Lyrics turned into verses then verses turned into songs. I just loved the ability to make something from nothing. I’ve always been addicted to the creative process.

What’s next for you?

Right now I’m in the process of starting a couple of Podcasts with different people. Fun Fact, I recorded one of my albums at SFX studios in Pennsauken in 2019 when Gillie Da Kid and Wallo was just starting off Million Dollaz Worth of Game with Devin Wade in the podcast studio in the next room. My Friend Brian Jenkins from Dacav5 was actually doing all their video production before they was signed to Barstool Sports. Ever since then I’ve been fascinated with it. So on top of a new album coming in October and the Podcasts. I’m also going to be dropping more music with Dacav too. While still promoting the hell out of this new album I just dropped in January on Friday the 13th.

To anyone who’s out there aspiring to be something and they keep putting it off. Stop , because time is precious and you can’t get that back. I wouldn’t have experienced any of the things I have if I just sat on my hands and waited for something to happen. You have to throw caution to the wind and go get it. And help someone if you can , always pay it forward.

The name Kuntry comes from my friend Brian Jenkins also known as Broc from Dacav5. I moved to Jersey as Young NT’s ( Young NokeTown ) terrible I know lol. But B was like nah bro you’re the countriest dude I ever met your Kuntry and it stuck haha. But then when it came to me copyrighting it. TI’s artist Big Kuntry King owned the rights. so I took out U and replaced it with a V for Virginia and Kvntry was born.

Is there any additional information/key notes?

Real Name Jack Blankenship.

Tell us about your latest project/single (release date, title, tours, etc)

My Latest Album is Thinking Out Loud. It’s doing exceptionally well right now on the streaming platforms. I’m super proud of it because I feel like this album has a lil bit for everyone.I have a song called The Moon I did with my producer Don Michael Jr that anyone with heartbreak can relate to. Stellar , No Brakes and Bounce is guaranteed to get you moving. Sawft has a melodic kind of Post Malone like Style to it. Reckless is for anyone whoever dreamed of becoming a rockstar. And Gemini for anyone whoever dated someone they loved but couldn’t fully trust. And that’s just to name a few. It’s just so many emotions that I was able to harness and put into song. I actually did about 85 percent of the hooks in this one and I was able to show my vocal range on top of my lyrical ability. The First single All Out has a really cool concept for the video. We basically challenged ourselves to make the best video possible for around 50 bucks. So we went into this place called Selfie Wrld when we was out in Las Vegas And started shooting it. It was crazy because all these kids was in there taking selfies and we just walked in and went from room to room with a video camera and started shooting content. We Literally paid 25 dollars and went to it. We thought people was going to get mad but luckily the customers and employees were feeling the song so it all worked out haha. It was insane and definitely probably one of my favorite if not the favorite video I ever done. So definitely check out the video and the album and if you don’t , shame on you and slap yourself 3 times !!!

Give us quotes from yourself.

Those that mind don’t matter and those that matter don’t mind.

Stop trying to be like everyone else and just do you. Copy Cats don’t get the big bag.

Who is your dream collab?

there’s so many but number one would have to be Kanye West. Musically he’s just a genius and a huge influence on my music.

What are your most newsworthy mentions?

Making real money off my music and Social Media. Went from not knowing where my next meal was coming from to turning it all around and making something of myself. It’s crazy what you’re capable of when you’re out of options.
