Q. How did the idea for your business come about?
I have always been into fashion and like to stand out in a crowd. The opportunity to go forward with my business came during COVID-19. Having some idle time gave me the opportunity to start my online store. A year later, I was set up in a women's center.
Q. What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?
I love the independence of being an entrepreneur.
Q. How did you come up with the name for your company?
My daughter came up with the name of my business.
Q. What about how you market your business?
I have done facebooks and google ads. I also do pop-up shops around the community.
Q. How many hours a day do you work on average?
My average day consist of around 12 hours a day. I have a variety of businesses and I work each of them everyday.
Q. Has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?
Being an entrepreneur has given me less time for my family and myself. However, it is my belief that it will all pay off soon.
Q. Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur?
There is no pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur. The key to becoming a successfull entrepreneur is consistency, persistency and finding loyalty.
Q. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
My most satisfying moment in business has been the opportunity to present my clothing line, Lady Devine in Carlyle's fashion show. I have looked up to Carlyle for year's and for that moment, I felt like I was on top of the world.
Q. Last question, how do you define success?
I define success when I have had the opportunity to show another person who is seeking a fashion career up to my level of knowledge. With this knowledge, it is my hope that than can to be successful in the Fashion industry.
